Incredibly, Peter recorded his first album, Harp Magic, after a mere ten months with the harp, demonstrating a skill-level most experts would consider impossible after such a brief time. He then moved to the United States at the age of 15 and continued with his love of this art. While teaching Karate in the US, he was chosen as His Holiness Dalai Lama's bodyguard. He had already learned esoteric Buddhism and received his priest name, but he was given a special signature from Dalai Lama, saying " This will become necessary when you start to teach esoteric Buddhism in the future”. Utilizing his management talent, Hideto engaged in the management of restaurants in Santa Fe and returned home to Japan in his thirties.
